The Yiddishist in me can't resist. This year's leading contestant for most ironically named financial services participant is Matthew Kluger. As the SEC might say, ver iz der kluger yetzt, her kluger? Or as the proverb has it, az der kluger faylt, faylt er veyt.

Loved this post, Adam. My hubby and I, also fellow yidn, are nevertheless know here in New Mexico as “Anglos.” Why? Because here there are three regularly identifyable and recognized ethnic groups, the orginial people (Native Americans) the Colonists (the, Spanish, now Hispanic people, the largest ethnic group), and the rest of us, the Anglos. If you think I find it odd to be characterized as an “Anglo”, think how my African American friends feel! 🙂
