Steve's title was subtle, so in case anyone missed it, here are the materials on Public Citizen's website. The petition calls on the Federal Reserve and the Financial Stability Oversight Commission to use their authority under Dodd-Frank to break up Bank of America. This only makes sense if the break-up includes an unwinding of all the paper shuffling B of A has done in the last several months to load up its federally insured accounts.
what a pathetic joke. there is only one, massive (corrupt, all-powerful) financial institution in this country, and that beast isn’t going anywhere. a bank of america by any other name is still an american bank.
